The Only Pancafit Class in the United States
Pancafit is a global postural re-education system used across Europe and South America to correct fascial imbalances, chronic postural dysfunction, and pain that standard stretching has never reached. I am the only provider offering Pancafit classes in the United States. If you are in Baltimore, you have access to something that does not exist anywhere else in the country.
The Method
What Is Pancafit — And Why It Works
Pancafit is a proprietary postural re-education system built around a specialized apparatus that places the entire body in a position of global fascial lengthening under load. It was developed in Italy and is widely used in European physical therapy and sports medicine. It is not yoga. It is not passive stretching. The mechanism is categorically different.
Standard stretching targets an isolated muscle. Pancafit works on the fascial chains — the continuous sheets of connective tissue that run from the base of the skull to the soles of the feet. When one segment of a chain is shortened or restricted, it pulls on every other segment. That is why a tight calf can contribute to lower back pain, or why restricted hip flexors show up as neck tension. Pancafit addresses the chain, not the symptom.
The equipment holds the body in a precisely calibrated position while you perform controlled breathing and micro-movements. The load is neurological and fascial simultaneously. Over time, the nervous system stops guarding the restricted tissue, the chain lengthens, and posture changes at a structural level — not just temporarily after a session, but durably across weeks and months of consistent work.
Format and Access
Group Classes vs. One-on-One Sessions
Pancafit at Physica Medica is available in both formats. Group classes are small — capacity is limited by the equipment and by the precision the method requires. You will not be lost in a room of twenty people. Each participant is positioned individually at the start of class, and I correct form throughout.
One-on-one Pancafit sessions are appropriate when you have a specific diagnosis, a post-surgical history, scoliosis, or a condition that requires individualized positioning and load modification. In a private session, the protocol is built around your particular fascial restrictions and postural pattern rather than a general class sequence.
If you are unsure which format fits your situation, call before booking. A brief conversation about your history is enough to point you in the right direction.
Clinical Applications
What Pancafit Corrects
Pancafit is not a treatment for acute injury. It works on the postural and fascial patterns that create the conditions for pain and recurring injury. These are the presentations that respond most consistently.
Forward Head Posture and Hunched Back
The anterior fascial chain shortens with years of desk work, phone use, and sedentary posture. Pancafit lengthens it under load, which is the only way to produce lasting change in how the head and thoracic spine sit.
ViewChronic Back and Neck Pain
When back or neck pain keeps returning despite treatment, the driver is often a fascial chain restriction that local therapy never reached. Pancafit addresses the full chain from a global position.
ViewScoliosis Management Without Surgery
Pancafit is used internationally as a conservative scoliosis management tool. It does not reverse structural curvature, but it consistently reduces the muscular and fascial asymmetry that drives postural compensation and pain.
ViewSciatica and Nerve Tension
Restricted posterior fascial chain length increases tension on the sciatic nerve. Pancafit's global lengthening position reduces that tension progressively and without the aggravation that isolated nerve flossing can produce.
ViewRecurring Sports Injuries
IT band syndrome, hamstring strains, and ankle injuries that keep coming back are often fascial chain problems presenting locally. Correcting the chain mechanics reduces the load that keeps feeding the injury site.
ViewPregnancy-Related Postural Pain
Anterior chain shortening and pelvic tilt changes during pregnancy respond well to Pancafit's controlled lengthening work. Positioning is modified for each trimester.
ViewPost-Surgical Rehabilitation
Scar tissue and post-surgical guarding alter fascial chain mechanics. One-on-one Pancafit sessions can be integrated into a post-surgical protocol once the tissue is ready for load.
ViewWho This Is For
Who Should Take a Pancafit Class
You Have Tried Stretching and It Has Not Held
If you stretch consistently and feel better temporarily but tightness returns within hours or days, the issue is not effort — it is method. Isolated stretching does not change fascial chain mechanics. Pancafit does.
You Have Chronic Pain With No Clear Structural Cause
Forward head posture, rounded shoulders, and increased thoracic kyphosis are structural changes driven by fascial shortening. Awareness and cuing alone do not fix them. Pancafit's loaded lengthening position creates the neurological and mechanical conditions for actual correction.
You Are Managing Scoliosis Conservatively
MRI is clean. Imaging shows nothing. But the pain persists. Fascial chain restrictions do not appear on imaging. They show up in movement assessment and in how the body responds to global postural loading. This is exactly what Pancafit is designed to address.
Plan & First Treatment
Pancafit has a documented application in conservative scoliosis management. One-on-one sessions are the appropriate format for this population.
No referral or physical therapy diagnosis is required to take a group class. If you have a complex history — post-surgical, neurological, or a diagnosed spinal condition — contact me before booking so we can determine whether a private session is more appropriate.

What is Pancafit and how is it different from stretching or yoga?
Stretching and yoga work on individual muscles or movement patterns in positions you actively control. Pancafit uses a proprietary apparatus to place the entire body in a global fascial lengthening position — meaning the full connective tissue chain from skull to foot is under simultaneous, calibrated load. You are not pulling a single muscle. You are changing the tension pattern across the entire system. The neurological component is also distinct: the position teaches the nervous system to release its protective tension in restricted tissue, which is why the changes persist after the session ends rather than reverting within hours.
